About the event
The "Black Women's Mental Health Tea and Talk" is an event by the Physical & Mental Health Committee and Human Trafficking Awareness & Prevention Committee of the Las Vegas Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in partnership with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Las Vegas Branch, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW) Las Vegas Chapter, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Sharing Hope conversation series.
This event aims to create a safe space for Black Women to gain mental health and wellness awareness, education, and resources through dialogue, fellowship, and connections. The NAMI Sharing Hope conversation includes a video with facilitated discussions about mental wellness for Black women and how to Heal Out Loud. The panel consists of mental health professionals and community leaders in Southern Nevada and allows attendees to ask questions and be connected to community resources.
