The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is that place. Designed for girls in grades 6-8, Delta Academy pours into young ladies through STEM education, leadership development, service learning, and building the kind of confidence that lasts a lifetime.

There is something special about a girl who knows her worth and is not afraid to grow into it. That is exactly what Delta GEMS (Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully) was built for.
If you know a young lady between the ages of 14-18 who is ready to excel academically, sharpen her skills, plan for her future, and give back to her community; we want her in the room.
Delta GEMS -- Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully -- is where brilliance is discovered and dreams are given a roadmap. Applications for the 2026-2027 program year are now open!

EMBODI
(young men ages 13-18)
EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) was created to address the educational, social, and emotional obstacles that plague African American males. The monthly workshops focus on cultural/academic enrichment, boosting self-confidence, image, violence, relationships, health and economic empowerment.
